Periodontal (Gum Disease) Treatment Westchester

What is periodontal disease and how does it develop?

A community of bacteria, called a biofilm, build up in the sulcus, between a tooth and gum, and cause an infection. The Perio Protect Methodâ„¢ delivers medication to the sight of the infection, holding it in place and giving it time to breakdown the biofilm and fight the bacterial infection. 85% of the U.S. population has some form of gum disease. This non-invasive method of treatment was introduced in 2004 and has won numerous dental industry awards. Before the introduction of the Perio Tray delivery of medication, there weren't many non-invasive options for the treatment of gum disease (periodontal disease / periodontitis / gingivitis). Research shows that when patients incorporate Perio Protect into their daily routine, they do much better than patients that are treated with conventional treatment alone (scaling and root planing).
